google-chrome causes failure in package updates

Make sure that you are using the latest 11.10 with all updates before
starting the upgrade. So, before you click on the Upgrade button, click on
Check and install all Updates. Then, you can go ahead with the Upgrade.

If you sill get the network error, then you might try the Alternate CD
upgrade method listed here:

After the upgrade, again make sure that you have the latest 12.04 with all
updates installed.

Your sources list entries seem fine.

If you still face issues, you might look here for logs:
/var/log/dist-upgrade
