Is it possible to mount an external HD via a command line?

Hint:
Don't use a device name or a mount point with a space in it - this
makes life more difficult.
Rename your external drive or whatever so that there are no spaces or
punctuation marks in the name. Something descriptive is good, e.g. the
model name of the drive, such as ST3120026A.
