VirtualBox USB support

Ive just installed VB and XP and it says to download the expansion
pack to have USB access.
So I did and I ran it. Now it says I have to put my user in the
vboxusers group. My user is or
was already in that group.  Does it mean the name of the VB install
has to be the name of
the user on Ubuntu?
