Alan's post was perfectly justified and reasonable. Your response is
not, and that is aside from the profanity, which is very unwelcome.

This is a tech-support list. Basil's continual snide mockery is
getting very irritating and you are compounding the problem.

I am nothing to do with Ubuntu and I have had my own personal
objections to Alan Pope's actions in the past - he was instrumental in
getting the valuable, useful and fun Sounder list shut down, for
instance.

However, in this instance, he is absolutely right.
