12.04 ppa install error

although i have added proxy as system wide settings, why i am getting this error??? i installed curl and checked, it was able to fetch websites. i am confused, where is the error??

i spent some time learning ubuntu 'interface' when i first installed 10.10, now i have to re-learn everything!
i will try to get same old gnome shell interface and then make a decision.
