This is not specific to Ubuntu, but things to try:

  1. Look for the manufacturer name and model number of the thin
clients that you have. Put these into a search engine and try to
find the PDF manual for the thin client model.

  2. How do the thin clients boot? Do they use TFTP, or do they have
an image aleady in ROM/Flash? Is there a configuration menu
somewhere during bootup that allows enabling SNMP?

  3. Try running 'snmpwalk' against the thin client(s); this often
works out of the box with any network routers, switches and
alliances for 'PUBLIC' data. If the information is protected,
you may need to use a username and passport.

Hope that helps. If you're unsure how to proceed, please try to find
the manufacturer name and model number(s) and other people may be able
to assist you with searching.
