able to boot from a CD or USB, is that I don't know how much disk space
I have. I just re-installed Ubuntu on I believe 30 Gb of space. I may be
safe for a while but I'm sure I had enough space before I had my last
problem. Where do I find how disk is being used?

"df -h" will show al mounted devices on your system.

This is the output of this command on my notebook:

> df -h
> S.ficheros TamaƱo Usado Disp Uso% Montado en
> /dev/sda5 73G 9,7G 60G 14% /
> udev 932M 4,0K 932M 1% /dev
> tmpfs 377M 844K 376M 1% /run
> none 5,0M 0 5,0M 0% /run/lock
> none 941M 292K 941M 1% /run/shm
> /dev/sda3 301G 42G 260G 14% /home/emiliano/datos
