I'd say you need a LOT more memory. You have the video already in memory
and then you're adding the rendering of it to the log-jam. One gig of
memory ain't gonna cut it easily I'm afraid.
If this is a desktop machine, I'd jam at least 4 to 8 gigs of memory on
the MB, for what you're doing. I installed 16 gigs for doing video in my
new server tower, just for that and 3D world visualization. Ric
