slow transfer to usbstick

...I'm not sure it's due a cheap usbstick... 'cause I remember it got a
fast speed in the first time of its life, I think it was until ubuntu
10.10... mine usbstick is a Sandisk 16Gb and it has no more 2 years, for
sure less of three. It's a bit odds to me, think it is just "old"...
