Can only open Libre Office from SUDO command line

In the hope of also being useful to anybody else who might have this
problem, I'm sending this reply back to ubuntu-users. Hope you don't
mind! :)

What happens when you try? sudo should be reserved for systems
administration tasks; if something that doesn't need administrative
privileges (like an office suite) doesn't run without sudo that
doesn't mean it needs sudo, that just means it's broken :) We'll likely
have more luck making LibreOffice work normally than trying to make it
work with sudo.
Do you get any error messages when you try to run it without sudo? If
not, can you try starting it from the command line and seeing if
there's anything enlightening in there? Feel free to just paste
everything into a pastebin and paste a link in reply here.
