Ah... you mean those days when we despised rebooting as that was what a
Windows user did?? Remember?? Init 3 to leave X or init 1, to go into
single user mode as opposed to a restart? We used to laugh at any OS
that required a complete shutdown and restart. Some folks had their
machines running for over a year without a reboot. What happened?? How
did we come to this "improvement? anyway?? :( Ric
