Then feel free to change it. You have our blessings. I hereby encourage
you to fork a 100% Free Software version of Ubuntu. Me, I want my nVidia
card to work. I want all the bells and whistles. Call me a sell out, I
really don't care.
Why I remember when ASCII graphics was big and "Hunt The Wumpus" all the
rage. Now, THAT is a 100% free install. Or, does ASCII text have a
proprietary element to it too? <cackles>
Me, I want ALL the shaders, GLX textures, framebuffers, memory swapping,
half_float_pixels, etc. turned on when I blast my enemy with a grenade
launcher and see the effects of same, with dripping alien body parts
smeared oozing down a nearby wall. Sure, I'm selling my soul to nVidia,
but I am one happy sell-out. And, no one thought the war against the
arachnids of Klendathu could be won either. Ric
