Update Manager on 12.04 empty window

If I boot to 12.04 and there are updates available the Update Manager 
icon appears on the launcher.  I click on it and it opens. There is a 
flash like text is being displayed and then the window is empty. I close 
the window and the icon disappears from the launcher.  If I then use the 
Dash to start it, it opens populated and runs normally.

Anyone else seeing this?
