You should have seen it running under Wabi! You were running not just a 
virtual instance of Win3.1, it ran using the underlying TCP/IP stack of 
linux as well. So you had FULL access to Linux services with win3.1 
running in a shell. And it ran a LOT faster than it did on DOS. I'd be 
in my Linux desktop and would launch Win3.1, with the Tada! sound and 
everything. Way too cool.

Then Wabi got bought up and disappeared just before the version to run 
Win95 could come out. I do know, from friends in low places, that it was 
almost released and that a demo version of it was shown and that it 
worked just fine. Imagine that ...had it reached market! Ric
