Personally, I think it could be a good idea. If they can give admins the
ability to lock down an OS and protect it, then you can be damned certain
that admins will flock to it.

It looks like it will be a standard like the many others out there in the
world, including certificates themselves. The people brewing Linux and the
other flavors have been quick to adopt new standards, and I'm sure this will
prove simple for them to incorporate.

The real threat is that current computing power has made it easy for people
to crack certs, with some effort. It won't be long before the average school
kid can do it with no effort.
