He created an app to ease the writing of batch files. Damnest thing. 
But, there was enough industrial demand that he pretty much worked from 
home and kept the family fed. He did have to bag an Elk to fill the 
freezer though. Nerds in Montana ALL carry rifles in the back window of 
their pickup trucks. Since the place was a freezer for 10 months out of 
the year, the local computer crowd was very social. When it's 40 below 
for months, there is little else to do but play with your computer or 
bag an Elk or snow ski.

Great people. That's a good excuse for you to take a road trip out there 
and write about it! Just tell 'em Ric sent you. :) Ric
