Logitech c910 HD Webcam?

Is anyone by chance using a Logitech c910 HD Pro Webcam with Ubuntu 10.04?

Family didn't like the quality of images created by my "Digitech QC3233" 
and sent me a nice new high def Logitech camera, the same as they use. 
I must admit the pictures I get from them are wonderful, but apparently 
mine are crap.

The box says  "For PC and Mac", I phoned Logitech and they said NONE of 
their cameras work with linux (but didn't sound at all convincing).

This thing is the ants pants. Full HD 1080p  Up to 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Carl Zeiss optics.... etc.   Cost about $150.
I don't want to open the box to experiment because it can be returned if 
necessary.

Is there an alternative HD webcam available?  Does anyone use a Logitech 
camera of any model (just in case a swap were be possible)?
