network manager icon disappeared

I guess it is running.

$ nm-applet --sm-disable
The program 'nm-applet' can be found in the following packages:
 * network-manager-gnome
 * mythbuntu-diskless-client
Try: sudo apt-get install <selected package>

I do not know what this means so I stopped here.
