I am using 11.10 with Unity and Docky. I down loaded Gnome and open in
it. I eliminate Docky toolbar as it gets in my way. I do a lot of video
so often use 6 seperate desktops so haveing them at the bottom is
handy. I often have Cinelerra, open shot, my music, audacity and
recording by Microphone and files with pictures. I sometime download
free film clips to use in another window. They are right there and
recognisable. If I want it, is easy to go back to Unity through Docky.
I guess I still have a couple of years being able to use this and hope
something beter is coming at least for my purposes. If I want it is not
hard to go back to Unity at any time. Darn near perfect I'd
say. Doug
