can i ask something regarding debian?

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here.  Are you saying that 
you added Debian Update repos to your Ubuntu server and everything just 
worked out?  (Theoretically, I suppose that's possible to an extent, but 
a good way to break a system beyond any repair other than restore from 
backup)
