it sure does. except I did not install any windows on this laptop.
I end up re-installing. except this time I used startup disk creator
instead of unetbootin to install the iso in the usb.
picked the same lvm w/ encrypted disk option and worked just fine
my guess is, in previous install somehow grub was being pointed
at the usb. but not sure why even after grub-install /dev/sda; update-grub
it wasn't fixed. oh well, I am good now.
