[Solved] 11.10 doesn't see my USB printer

I don't know whether it's the "proposed kernel" referred to in Bug
872711, but I noticed that I had 3.0.0-13 in /boot although what was
running was still 3.0.0-12. By adding 3.0.0-13 to /boot/grub/menu.lst,
running sudo update-grub and rebooting, I was running 3.0.0-13. At
this point, I turned on my printer again and went back into the
session indicator menu->Printers dialog and tried Add again. This time
my printer was detected and is now working again.
