As Avi says, there's no difference to be had from the install medium.
The installed OS that results is identical. (Or damned well should
be!)
It seemed to me that my fresh install booted a little quicker, ran through the
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y
operation a bit faster and felt a bit snappier. But now I am back in
my old install, to be honest, I am not sure I can feel any real
difference.
Performance-wise, Oneiric feels a bit snappier than Natty.
