Missing dialog on shutdown

Can anyone using 11.10 confirm that when they click the top right hand
indicator (indicator-session?) and select Shut Down that they no
longer get the dialog allowing them to Restart, Shutdown or Cancel?
It just goes ahead and shuts down.

Moreover if using unity-2d there is an extra 20 seconds or so before
it seems to do anything at all.

For both 2d and 3d pressing the power button on the PC brings up the
dialog and the shutdown is much quicker for 2d using this route.

I have submitted a bug report in the assumption it is not just me.
