Hi all,
using the alternate ISO I am trying to install Ubuntu 64bit with the
following setup:
root at ubuntu:/home/ubuntu# gdisk /dev/sda
GPT fdisk (gdisk) version 0.6.14
Partition table scan:
MBR: protective
BSD: not present
APM: not present
GPT: present
Found valid GPT with protective MBR; using GPT.
Command (? for help): p
Disk /dev/sda: 1465149168 sectors, 698.6 GiB
Logical sector size: 512 bytes
Disk identifier (GUID): 8C5F38B2-BFAB-4A48-8720-5E6BB4434046
Partition table holds up to 128 entries
First usable sector is 34, last usable sector is 1465149134
Partitions will be aligned on 2048-sector boundaries
Total free space is 1058782 sectors (517.0 MiB)
Number Start (sector) End (sector) Size Code Name
1 2048 411647 200.0 MiB EF00 EFI System
2 675840 677887 1024.0 KiB EF02 BIOS boot partition
3 942080 3039231 1024.0 MiB 0700 Linux/Windows
data -- ext4 mounted at /boot
4 3303424 1464884942 696.9 GiB 8E00 LUKS container
with 1 volume group and 3 logical volumes
4G swap
50G /home using btrfs
20G /root using btrfs
Ubuntu Install fails at the select and install software step after
configuring apt and also fails to install grub.
The grub-pc package failed to install into /target/. Without the GRUB boot
loader the installed system will not boot.
I even get this when I tried the setup with MBR partition table with just
two partitions:
sda1 /boot
sda2 LUKS+LVM
Am I doing something wrong?

Kind regards,
Yudi
