As for Clonezilla, I'm happy it works for you, but . . .
I tried to use that when I went from Ubuntu 10.10 to 11.4. I found it to
be:
1) confusing
2) complex
3) non-intuitive
4) extremely dangerous
And after finally seeming to make a backup image file of the main (Ubuntu)
partition, I was unable to get it to restore to a test partition on the same
drive.
Clonezilla is a good example of why there will always be a need for good,
user-oriented technical writers.
