Hello,
(Running UBUNTU 11.04)
I seem to be unable to do anything regarding installing or removing
applications, as I get an errormessage that the system is broken:
"Check if you are using third party repositories. If so disable them, since
they are a common source of problems.
Furthermore run the following command in a Terminal: apt-get install -f
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
gimp-plugin-registry: Depends: libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1) but 1:4.5.2-8ubuntu4 is
installed
Depends: libice6 (>= 1:1.0.0) but 2:1.0.7-1ubuntu1 is
installed
Depends: libjpeg62 (>= 6b1) but 6b1-1ubuntu1 is
installed
Depends: libstdc++6 (>= 4.5) but 4.5.2-8ubuntu4 is
installed
Depends: libtiff-tools but it is not installed
"
If I do the suggested "apt-get install -f" I get:
$ sudo apt-get install -f

Which isnt veryhelpful.
I would appreciate any suggestions to get me out of this situation.
Thanks very much in advance
