reinstall 11.10 without a cable connection and getting the wireless to work

I have found two references:
http://www.computerandyou.net/2011/10/how-to-install-restricted-wireless-drivers-in-ubuntu-without-wired-network/
The other said to copy
bcmwl-kernel-source_5.60.48.36+bdcom-0ubuntu5_i386.deb and
firmware-b43-installer_4.150.10.5-4_all.deb to the USB and install
them after 11.10 installs.
Any comments on these?
