Aptitude--any users!

Same is the case for me too - "Aptitude" is more like "YUM" except in
case of updating "YUM" has certain plug-in's which reduce the download
size of the packages considerably and later rebuilt it. Both these
systems also have options of quitting or continuing even after
starting the installing/updating process.
