how do I move my drivers from archive manager to someplace were the video card can recognize it?

No jockey wont help instal my matrox g400 drivers because I can't use my 
update drivers program because when I put my Matrox g400 in my puter 
nothing comes on the screen(it's black) Need the drivers for Matrox, the 
third party ones don't work . i want to load the drivers from my archive 
manager(were they are) to my software center , or upgrade manager or 
synaptic. Then I can load them when I'm using my NVIDIA video card then 
switch to my Matrox g400
