CPU frequency scaling problem - laptop users, please check this

Laptop: Acer Aspire 8920G laptop with Core 2 Duo CPU - 2 cores.

OS: Ubuntu 10.10 32-bit


When running burnP6 of the cpuburn package, in two terminal windows, the

cat /proc/cpuinfo

command displays that both cores run at the maximum speed.


If you want to test your system, you have to run the same number of
instances (in terminal windows) of a cpuburn package, as the number of
the cores of your CPU.


Regarding my system, it works OK.
