Ric,

Yes, my accountant uses Windows 7.  I use Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.  In looking
at the gnuCash web site, the current stable is 2.4.5, which is why it is
being used by an accountant.  From my point of view, the current
repository version is ok functionally.  It is just one of those things
where we want to stay up with the teacher (accountant).

This is one of the real gripes about Linux over Windows -- we seem to be
the last to get the current versions of software in our repositories.  I
get why Adobe does that, but open source projects too??  Oh well.
