Wirelss network setup

I need help to setup my wireless network.
Even I have my (hardware) switch to ON position, I got the message "wireless
network is disabled by hardware switch".  I used Ubuntu help to run some
diagnosis and also found my wireless is recognized but the status is
DISABLED.

Please advise,
