Clonezilla is a great way to clone a drive, but you have to test it: clone to another drive, then try to boot the original system from that drive.
It’s the only way to know if you got the settings right, etc.
The latest stable version of Clonezilla now has a verify option. And when I have done this in the past, Linux will generally find the new hardware on first boot and just run, unlike that other OS where you have to go searching for drivers to be downloaded. And as long as the video system is compatible, 11.04's version of x will come up as well with a good configuration with the new hardware.
