Why gnome-terminal menu bar is missing?

But the instructions on the webpage that you mentioned is essentially
what is commented out in my .xstartup script. I don't want to run the
default window manager. Rather I want to run a light weight window
manager icewm. What problem do you think with my .xstartup script? The
.xstartup script worked with previous versions of ubuntu.
