How to report bug in package from ppa

I am using the daily build unity-2d ppa, ppa:unity-2d-team/unity-2d-daily
I am trying to report a bug.  Normally I would do that via
ubuntu-bug unity-2d
but when I do that I get an error, The problem cannot be reported:
This is not a genuine Ubuntu package.
Possibly this is because I have installed from the ppa.  Any
suggestions as to what I should do now?
