Grub not working

Goh,

This is what happened:
grub-install -v
grub-install (GNU GRUB 0.97)

One other fact that may be helpful.  When I installed 11.04 (both times)
the installer said no other operating systems were found, which implies
it didn't detect Win ME.  Still, the normal course of events is that
Grub appears and I have to add 3 lines to the menu.lst file (Grub 1) to
have a menu to boot Windows.
