For basic users wanting just browsing, email, photo management, letter
writing and so on I think it will be easier to use than Classic, and
after all that is what most users want Ubuntu desktop for. For power
users with many years experience of Classic, and similar interfaces,
it will take some getting used to. The key thing is to get to grips
with the hot keys that allow rapid access to windows and apps. The
biggest issue I am having is the loss of the bottom panel,
particularly when I have half a dozen FF windows open. No doubt at
some point there will be a plugin to provide this if I decide I need
it. However I suspect that the lack of it may force me to be more
organised in the way I use workspaces and in the long run even this
may be a good thing.
