Huh? Gmail bottom quotes /perfectly./ Always has done, AFAICR, but
then, I've only been using it daily since 2004. ;¬)
When you open a reply, sure, the cursor is positioned at the top, but
you just use the cursor keys to move down to the bottom of the quoted
text and start typing. Couldn't be easier.
(If you really want to be neat, you can delete the blank 2 lines it
inserts at the top before you move. This is what I do.)
No scripts or customisation needed at all.
