You should probably ask this on the evolution list.
If you do, and you're using the version of evo supplied with Ubuntu
10.10 or earlier (you don't say), they'll just say "too old, full 'o
bugs, get an updated version."  This ppa has the latest:
http://ppa.launchpad.net/konstigt/evolution/ubuntu  Works well in Mint
10, so should do as well in Ubuntu Maverick.

For some reason, 10.10 was released with an old version; much derision
about Ubuntu and family on the evo list.

The evo version in 11.04 (beta today!) is the latest.  This also worked
well for me in (so far) limited testing.
