Paquetes Linux Ubuntu 10.10

first of all this is an English list, so please post all further questions
in English.
Ubuntu uses the package manager apt, to install software simply run:
sud apt-get install <name of package>
to update the list of available software just run:
sudo apt-get update
and to get the latest version of all of the software you have installed use:
sudo apt-get upgrade
just remember, don't be a help vampire<http://slash7.com/2006/12/22/vampires/>,
and don't be surprised if similar, basic questions get a
lmgtfy<http://lmgtfy.com/?q=what+is+lmgtfy>as a response
