Gnome 2.3 was released in October last year, 3.0 at the beginning of
April this year. Unity was released on 11.04 at the end of April this
year, after the release of Gnome 3.

I didn't think the plan was for there to be two 'current' releases of
Gnome following the release of 3.0 (2.3.x and 3.x), is there?
