howto upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 (and newer) today (june 2011)

May be it is not possible to upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10. You can use
alternate cd to do the job. Just insert the Ubuntu 9.10 disk and add it from
Software Source then Update Source.
