There's numerous reasons why people use Askubuntu rather than other
avenues like irc, mailing lists and forums. Why each individual does
so, I can only speculate, but I can certainly hazard a guess.
Askubuntu is easy to search, filter, respond to, maintain, rate, tag,
discuss... and it shows up really well on search engines.
