GRUB -- how to make the secondary drive the primary boot drive

Goh,
	It worked perfectly with the instructions I got from your first response.  I 
first edited grub from the boot menu to make sure it would work, and then 
modified the Grub.conf.  
I am running again.

This setup is way before uuid.  I have some other machines that I will play 
with to do some experimenting with a newer version of kubuntu or Gentoo.  The 
reason I needed this machine is because I run an email list for a rare cancer 
and I didn't want to do anything more than necessary to keep it running.
