To test ReminderFox, you can do one of two things:

1. Got to /home/<user>/.mozilla/firefox/<profile>/extensions and look
for the ReminderFox extension. Find the index.rdf file and modify to
allow 8 - similar to (this is not ReminderFox so the id is different):

    <em:targetApplication> <!-- Firefox -->
      <Description>
        <em:id>{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}</em:id>
        <em:minVersion>1.5</em:minVersion>
        <em:maxVersion>8.0a1*</em:maxVersion>
      </Description>

2. Better option: Install the Add-on Compatibility Reporter:
<https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/>
This will disable compatibility checking, so you can test to see if the
addon actually works with 8.0a1. If so, you can send a report back to
Mozilla (via addon manager) & let them know if it works or not.

I reckon so. But I suspect it will be some time before Ubuntu actually
implements 8.
