I have actually contacted Canonical about this as a week or two ago as
for me it's only happening on lists that are on @lists.ubuntu.com not
on many of the other mailing lists I subscribe to.  I'm not that
technically knowledgeable but they have said they are looking at
implementing DKIM at some stage that should fix this issue with how
gmail passes on authentication but apparently it's not a simple thing
to fix so may take a while.
