Yes. Download & install 3.3.3 from libreoffice (3.4.1 works as well, but
3.4.1 has an issue with addressbooks which isn't related to Base).

Note: you do *not* need to remove your existing (U)3.3.2 LO. Following
are the instructions for 3.3.3:

Just download the .deb (including the help .deb).
http://www.libreoffice.org/download/
In nautilus, right
click on the .tz and select 'Extract here'. Then go to:
LibO_3.3.3rc1_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US/DEBS in a terminal and:

$ sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Do the same for the help files:
LibO_3.3.3rc1_Linux_x86_helppack-deb_en-US/DEBS

After you've installed (again in the terminal):

$ cd /opt/libreoffice/program
$ gksu gedit bootstraprc

Modify the following line:

UserInstallation=$SYSUSERCONFIG/.libreoffice/3
to
UserInstallation=$SYSUSERCONFIG/.libreoffice3.3.3/3

Save the file & exit gedit. This will have LO 3.3.3 use the
~/.libreoffice3.3.3/3 for your user profile and will not interfere with
your existing Ubuntu LO 3.3 at ~/.libreoffice/3.

Again in the terminal:
$ /opt/libreoffice/program/soffice

Note: 3.3.3rc1 is 3.3.3 Final.

Try the test .odb mentioned in:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36443#c1
you'll see that you do get the icons etc.
