Hi

I am having the same issue with my hp compaqnx8220 laptop running Ubuntu
10.10. I tried installing  linux-backports-modules-alsa-maverick-generic
from synaptic but I am getting these errors:

"E: linux-image-2.6.35-24-generic: subprocess installed post-installation
script returned error exit status 2
E: linux-backports-modules-alsa-2.6.35-24-generic: dependency problems -
leaving unconfigured
E: linux-backports-modules-alsa-maverick-generic: dependency problems -
leaving unconfigured"

Please help.
