Hi Again,
I also followed --> http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1457859.html
I added this line --> options snd-hda-intel model=dell-vostro position_fix=0
enable=yes in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
and rebooted the laptop and it did not worked.
